9. Prizes

The number of winner(s), prize details and quantities are specified in the Specific Terms for each individual Prize Competition.

Winner(s) are responsible for all taxes and fees to the extent applicable under the laws of their jurisdiction.

All expenses not specifically stated are the winner(s)’ responsibility.

All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier.

Prizes may only be redeemed by the individual winner and will only be awarded on verification by us that the winner has complied with these Terms. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. Details of how the prize will be delivered to you (or made available for collection) are published on our Website and set out in the Specific Terms.

Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Terms, the prize is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash. In the event that due to circumstances beyond our control or expense we are unable to provide and/or deliver the stated prize, we reserve the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.

If the Prize is a vehicle:

  • we make no representations and give no warranties about the Prize, its value or its condition;
  • we will, unless otherwise stated, ensure it comes with a valid MOT if the winner is a resident of the UK (if required) or proof of registration/inspection by applicable governmental authorities if the winner is a resident of the US (if required). Any renewals are the winner's responsibility;
  • provided the winner has completed all eligibility checks, the prize will be transferred to the winner by us using the registration documentation (if the winner is a resident of the UK, a V5) for each vehicle. This must be completed before the vehicle is handed over;
  • no insurance is included with the Prize and it is the winner’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is adequately insured prior to taking it on the public roads (if it is legal to do so);
  • the winner will be responsible for any upgrades or options not included on the vehicle;
  • we have no responsibility for the Prize(s) once the winner has taken delivery. The winner is solely responsible for complying with all relevant laws and regulations relating to the vehicle, its operation and ensuring they operate it in a safe and responsible manner;
  • no vehicle/road tax is included;
  • the winner is solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary safety equipment and clothing (for example, helmets, boots and gloves) and for wearing them whilst operating the vehicle;
  • the winner is solely responsible for ensuring that it has a valid and current driving licence and has the right to drive a vehicle in the UK or any particular state in the United States of America (as applicable); and
  • we reserve the right (but not the obligation) to film, interview and photograph you and record your voice when you are collecting the vehicle for the purposes of using such content for internal and external marketing purpose to promote our products and brands, including without limitation to create a YouTube video, except where prohibited by law.

If your personal details, including contact information, changes at any time you should notify us as soon as reasonably possible. Notifications should be sent to us via email to support@hwbtplus.com. Notifications must include details of the Prize Competition you have entered, your old details and your new details. If your details change within ten (10) days of the end of the Entry Period, we will use your old details if we need to try to contact you.

Any cash prize will be transferred directly to the winner's nominated bank account. The winner must provide satisfactory evidence that it is the sole or joint beneficiary of the bank account. Failure to do so within fourteen (14) days of request will result in disqualification from the Prize Competition and the winner shall forfeit the Prize. In such circumstances, we reserve the right to select an alternate winner in accordance with rule 10.3.

We do not accept any responsibility and are not liable to pay any compensation if you are unable to or do not take up the Prize for any reason.

We require photo identification from winners to verify their age before processing prize payouts, as part of our age verification process.

10. Winner Selection

Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing (using electronic software) from all valid and eligible Entries received during the relevant Entry Period for a Prize Competition. Winners' selection will take place at our offices within seven (7) days after the end of the relevant Entry Period subject to receipt of Free Entries as per rule 7.2(d). The draw may take place during a live broadcast on social media. In the event that the winner of a Prize Competition will be selected in a live draw, we will publish the date of the live draw on our Website. In the absence of a live draw, we will publish the date of the winner's announcement on our Website. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received.

All Entrants will have their names and entry numbers included in a spreadsheet which may be published on our Website and may be visible during the live draw. If you do not wish to have your name included in this spreadsheet you must contact the Promoter via email at support@hwbtplus.com as soon as possible after you have completed your entry and in any event, at least 48 hours before the live draw takes place.

If you are declared a winner, you may be required to present valid personal identification documents to prove your identity and age. We will endeavour to notify the winner(s) via email or by telephone within seven (7) days of the winners' selection for the relevant Prize Competition, requesting certain information from you to verify your eligibility. Please ensure that you are regularly checking your emails. Winners must confirm acceptance of a Prize and provide the requested information within fourteen (14) days of prize notification. Otherwise, your Prize will be forfeited. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Promoter may require each winner (known as a potential winner in the US) to sign and return, within fourteen (14) days of being notified by Promoter, an affidavit of eligibility, liability and publicity release, and other legal, regulatory or tax-related documents required at Promoter’s discretion (“Affidavit and Related Documents”) in order to claim a prize.

  • you are selected as a winner (from a Free Entry), but we are unable to verify your Free Entry within seven (7) days after the end of the relevant Entry Period subject to rule 7.2(d). For example, we have not received your Free Entry in the post and/or the Unique Entry Identifier on a physical Entry does not align with your Competition Registration and/or it does not align with your contact details on your Competition Registration;
  • you are selected as a winner and you do not confirm your acceptance of your Prize and/or provide any requested information, including signed Affidavit and Related Documents (as applicable), in accordance with the specified timelines; and/or

  • you engage in any form of fraud (actual or apparent); fraudulent misrepresentation; fraudulent concealment; hacking or interference with the proper functioning of our Website; and/or amending, or unauthorised use of, any of the code that constitutes our Website.

In the case of disqualification, the winner forfeits the Prize and we reserve the right to award the Prize to an alternative winner from all remaining valid and eligible Entries at random using the process detailed in rule 9 above. This process may be repeated if subsequent selected winners are also disqualified. We also reserve the right to prohibit your participation in any future Prize Competitions.
